We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Surveyor to support civil engineering projects by providing accurate field measurements, boundary locations, topographic data, and construction layout. The Surveyor will work closely with engineers, project managers, and construction teams to ensure all project designs and site work are based on precise survey information.

Key Responsibilities:

Field Surveying

  • Perform topographic, boundary, and construction layout surveys using GPS, total stations, data collectors, and other surveying instruments.
  • Establish and verify horizontal and vertical control points for engineering and construction activities.
  • Conduct as-built surveys to document completed work.
  • Perform site inspections to identify potential issues related to grading, alignment, or elevations.

Data Collection & Processing

  • Collect, organize, and verify survey data for use by engineering and drafting teams.
  • Download, analyze, and process survey data using software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, Trimble Business Center, or equivalent.
  • Ensure all survey records, field notes, and digital data are documented accurately.

Coordination & Communication

  • Collaborate with civil engineers, designers, and construction teams to clarify project requirements.
  • Communicate survey results, discrepancies, and site challenges to project managers.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed survey reports, sketches, and marked-up plans.

Compliance & Safety

  • Ensure all survey activities comply with municipal, provincial/state, and industry standards.
  • Follow company safety protocols and participate in safety training programs.
  • Maintain and calibrate survey equipment regularly.

Qualifications:

  • Diploma or degree in Geomatics, Survey Technology, Civil Engineering Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2–5 years of surveying experience in civil engineering, construction, or land development.
  • Proficiency with survey instruments (GPS, robotic total station, digital levels).
  • Strong skills in AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or survey processing software.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to work outdoors in varying site conditions.
  • Strong math, problem‑solving, and spatial awareness skills

Work Location: In person

Pay: CA$35.00 – CA$45.00 per hour
