We are currently seeking an experienced, energetic, and inclusive Bar & Restaurant Manager to lead day-to-day operations in a fast-paced hospitality environment. We’re looking for someone who thrives in customer service, loves creating a welcoming atmosphere, and knows how to keep both staff and guests happy while maintaining smooth operations behind the scenes.

This is a hands-on leadership role ideal for someone with strong hospitality experience, excellent people skills, and the ability to lead a diverse team in a busy nightlife and restaurant setting.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate daily restaurant and bar operations to ensure smooth service delivery
  • Lead, motivate, and manage a team of servers, bartenders, cooks, and support staff
  • Oversee food preparation, cooking processes, and food handling to maintain quality standards
  • Foster an inclusive, respectful, and discrimination-free workplace culture aligned with LGBTQIA2S+ values
  • Manage Excel spreadsheets related to inventory, ordering, and cash handling procedures
  • Conduct interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and training of new team members with a focus on equity and inclusion
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and sanitation standards
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with suppliers for timely stock replenishment
  • Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback to ensure high satisfaction levels
  • Maintain a clean, organized, safe, and welcoming environment for all guests

Skills

  • Proven experience in restaurant management or hospitality leadership
  • Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety protocols
  • Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures
  • Excellent team management and staff supervision skills
  • Experience interviewing, training, and developing team members
  • Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on hospitality excellence
  • Ability to oversee both front-of-house and bar operations
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
  • Experience in restaurant, kitchen operations, or the food industry is highly desirable

Work Location: In person

Pay: CA$50,000.00-CA$55,000.00 per year
