We are currently recruiting a General Manager for our client in Windsor, ON. This is a full-time direct hire position.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Provide strong leadership to the restaurant team and ensure a positive work environment.
  • Recruit, train, and supervise staff members.
  • Set performance expectations, conduct performance evaluations, and address any issues or concerns.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations, including opening and closing procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and food handling guidelines.
  • Monitor and maintain quality control of food and service.
  • Foster a customer-focused culture to ensure an excellent dining experience.
  • Handle customer complaints and resolve issues promptly and effectively.
  • Monitor and control costs, including food and labor expenses.
  • Implement strategies to maximize profitability.
  • Work with the chef or kitchen staff to create and update menus.
  • Manage inventory levels and order supplies as needed.
  • Work with vendors to negotiate contracts and ensure timely deliveries.

The successful candidate will have the following experience:

  • Several years of progressive experience in the restaurant industry, with a proven track record of success in managerial roles.
  • Experience in a supervisory or management capacity, demonstrating leadership skills and the ability to manage a team effectively.
  • In-depth knowledge of the restaurant industry, including trends, regulations, and best practices.
  • Familiarity with food safety and sanitation standards.
  • Familiarity with restaurant management software, point-of-sale (POS) systems, and other relevant technologies.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities to address challenges that may arise in day-to-day operations.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $55,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
