We are currently hiring two Dryer Assistants for a seasonal agricultural production operation:

  • Afternoon Shift: $21.75/hour
  • Midnight Shift: $20.75/hour

Position Summary

The Dryer Assistant is responsible for supporting all aspects of crop drying, handling, receiving, storage, and product flow throughout the facility. This role plays a critical part in maintaining product quality, ensuring safe operation of drying equipment, and keeping product moving efficiently through the production process during harvest season.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with the operation and monitoring of crop drying equipment.
  • Monitor dryer performance and report any equipment concerns or irregularities.
  • Load, unload, transfer, and move crop throughout the facility.
  • Receive incoming trucks and assist with weighing, sampling, and unloading procedures.
  • Collect samples and perform quality checks to ensure product meets specifications.
  • Complete documentation and enter production information accurately into computer systems.
  • Assist with shelling, storage, and bin management activities.
  • Maintain a steady flow of product to downstream processing operations.
  • Apply approved product treatments as required.
  • Keep work areas, equipment, and production spaces clean and organized.
  • Follow established operating procedures, quality standards, and safety protocols.
  • Support other harvest and production activities as assigned.

  • Must pass a background check and any required pre-employment screenings.
  • Reliable transportation to and from the work site is required.
  • Ability to work overtime, extended hours, and rotational shifts as needed.

Physical Requirements

  • Lift, push, and pull up to 60 lbs.
  • Stand, walk, bend, climb, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift.
  • Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Walk and work safely on uneven surfaces.
  • Ability to work around agricultural processing equipment and machinery.
  • Forklift experience is an asset.
