We are currently recruiting for a Lead Hand for our client in Windsor. This is a Direct Hire , Full time position that operates on a Days/Afternoons rotation.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Back up for Shift Supervisor when absent, including all responsibilities of the Shift supervisor
- Ensure that correct prints are following jobs issued on the floor.
- Ensure that general housekeeping practices are adhered to.
- Ensure that employees are following all rules and codes of conduct established in the Employee Handbook
- Ensure new employees receive proper training.
- Ensure production cells are set up safely and efficiently.
- Ensure that work orders are being adhered to in each cell.
The successful candidate will have the following experience:
- Must have extensive experience in the manufacturing department.
- Must be familiar with IATF 16949 requirements and Health and Safety legislative requirements.
- Must have blueprint reading knowledge.
- Must be team oriented, excellent communication skills and strong interpersonal skills
- Must have excellent organizational skills
- Knowledge and application of EPICOR system.
- Additional computer skills an asset.
- Minimum of Grade 12 required, more education is considered an asset.
Pay: $20+ / hr
Shift: Days/Afternoons rotation
