We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized junior Bookkeeper to join our clients team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable and receivable, and ensuring the integrity of our accounting data. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work with various accounting software platforms and contribute to the financial health of our organization. The successful applicant will have strong analytical skills, proficiency in accounting tools, and a commitment to accuracy and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day bookkeeping activities including data entry and record keeping
  • Utilize accounting software Sage 300
  • Handle accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections
  • Perform bank reconciliations and account analysis to verify accuracy of financial data
  • Conduct account reconciliations regularly to identify discrepancies or errors
  • Assist with payroll processing and related reporting functions
  • Prepare financial reports and summaries for management review
  • Support budgeting processes by tracking expenses and revenues
  • Maintain organized records of invoices, receipts, and other financial documents
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles preferred
  • Proficiency in accounting software Sage 300
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles including accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliation, and account analysis
  • Experience with payroll processing is a plus
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive financial information with confidentiality
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify discrepancies or issues promptly
  • Effective communication skills for collaboration with team members and vendors
  • Prior experience in budgeting and financial reporting is desirable
