Our client is seeking a skilled Production Technician with forklift experience to join their team. This role requires the ability to work in both warm and cold environments and handle products weighing up to 50 lbs throughout the day. You will provide production support, perform basic preventative maintenance, and assist with repairs as required.
Responsibilities:
- Perform conditioning activities including cleaning, sizing, treating, packaging, palletizing, wrapping, and sampling.
- Assist with receiving, storage, shipping, interplant movement, rework, warehousing, and inventory management of bagged and bulk seed.
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently.
- Complete required documentation such as quality, safety, grower, and inventory records.
- Maintain compliance with Work Instructions and Quality Plan requirements.
- Conduct basic maintenance and minor repairs as directed by the supervisor.
Requirements:
- Forklift experience (required)
- High School Diploma (required) – needed to be considered for permanent employment
- Must pass a background check and other pre-employment screenings
- CCOHS Respiratory Testing required (medical evaluation and N95 fit test)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Willingness to work in varied conditions (hot, cold, wet, dry, dusty)
- Ability to climb/work at heights and stand/sit for extended periods
- Valid driver’s license
- Strong communication skills, reliability, and attention to detail
- Basic computer skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Two-year agricultural diploma or related field of study
- Experience in light industrial, manufacturing, seed cleaning/handling, or warehouse environments
- Knowledge of production agriculture
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

- Specialty PPE as required for tasks
Note: Candidates must provide their own CSA-approved steel-toe boots (ankle-covering with green CSA triangle).
Location: Lethbridge, AB
Pay Rate:
- 1st Shift – $23.00/hour
- 2nd Shift – $26.00/hour (+$3.00/hour premium for hours worked between 4:00pm and 10:00pm)
- 3rd Shift – $25.00/hour (+$2.00/hour premium for hours worked between 10:00pm and 6:00am)
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday, 8-hour shifts rotating every two weeks:
- Days: 7:00am – 3:30pm
- Evenings: 3:00pm – 11:30pm
- 40 hours per week + optional overtime
- Occasional Saturday shifts during peak seasons
