We are currently hiring Dryer Assistants (Night Shift) for our client, a leading seed production and agricultural company located in Ridgetown, ON. This is a seasonal opportunity offering steady hours and hands-on experience in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities:
(Harvest Season):
- Receive and process trucks hauling crops from the field
- Collect crop samples and input accurate data
- Operate drying equipment and manage crop storage
- Supply conditioning department with seed
- Apply treatments to seed as required
Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 60 lbs, walk on uneven surfaces, and work in both indoor/outdoor conditions
- Must be reliable and dependable with exceptional attendance
- Ability to work independently or in a team
- Flexible and adaptable to changing work demands
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Able to pass a background check and other pre-employment screenings
- Must have reliable transportation to and from the work site
- Not a minor (18+ years only)
- Steel-toe, over-the-ankle boots required
Additional Information:
- Exposure to dust, corn dust, insects, and bees
- No driving required
- Not a unionized environment
- This role does not require medical surveillance testing
Location: 20956 Victoria Rd, Ridgetown, ON
Shift: 3rd Shift – 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM
Wage: $20.25/hour (includes $2 night shift premium)
Start Date: Training begins August 18; Harvest starts between August 25–September 6 (TBD)
Weekly Hours: 5–7 days/week as needed (~50 hours)
