We are currently recruiting for a Plant Manager for our client in Lakeshore, ON. This is a full-time position that operations on a straight day shift. This position is a direct hire with the company.


Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for the effective and successful management of labor, productivity, quality control and safety measures as established and set for the Manufacturing Department
  • Monitor and maintain timeline dates. Lead other team members to form a contingency plan and relay that information to the Program Manager.
  • Follow up with Purchasing on all open items needed to build a particular product.
  • Maintain and monitor the job boards by adding open issues and notes for the staff to review.
  • Monitor attendance and general working hours. Submit reviewed timecards on a daily basis.
  • Organize and maintain all health and safety standards
  • Monitor budgets and hours and understand when overtime is needed
  • Coordinate with Shipping and Receiving to distribute incoming/outgoing goods
  • Lead the different departments by lending assistance as needed. Establish weekly goals with the other team members and follow up on them.
  • Establish a plan to achieve debug and internal run-off. Work with the team to create a plan and execute. Have alternative plans if there are issues. Ensure enough time is allotted before customer buy-off.
  • Establish a plan to recover from open issues and develop a task list for completion by departments.
  • Meet financial objectives by working within the establish budget, monitoring expenditures, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective actions.
  • Communicate with the Engineering Department to ensure final drawings meet project scope and customer expectations.
  • Recruit, select, train, assign, schedule, coach, counsel, and discipline employees.
  • Communicate job expectations by planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing job contributions.
  • Forecast requirements by preparing an annual budget, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective actions.
  • Manage staff levels, wages, hours, and contract labor to revenues.
  • Responsible for all aspects of vehicle and heavy equipment rentals and company vehicle maintenance
  • Establish contracts and pricing and ensure proper facility maintenance and serving as the primary liaison with utilities and local government agencies such as fire, police, and health and safety agencies.
  • Serve as primary point of contact when there are customer issues related to equipment quality, customer service, or accidents and mishaps on-site.
  • Communicate customer issues with operations team and devise ways to improve the customer experience.
  • Work closely with the management team to set and/or implement policies, procedures, and systems, following through with implementation.
  • Work closely with the Purchaser and other team members to perform an analysis of our inventory and ensure the effective use of inventory, purchasing, and inventory data maintenance, ultimately reducing sub-rental expenses.
  • Other duties as assigned.




The successful candidate will have the following experience:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Plant Manager
  • 10+ of experience operating CNC machinery
  • Secondary school diploma or equivalent is required
  • Must be available to work weekends if required.
  • Maintain CPR and First aid certification.
  • Must be able to carry 2 x 25 lbs

Pay: $70,000-85,000/annually


Monday – Thursday: 7am – 4:30pm

Friday: 7am – 3:15pm


Hours: 44 hours/ week with the opportunity for opportunity
