We are currently recruiting for a Paint Line Operator for our client in Windsor, ON. This is a FULL-TIME position that operates on a Straight Days schedule. This is a temporary to permanent position, meaning there is a chance to get hired on directly with the company.
Position Summary:
The Paint Line Operator will be required to perform tasks involving the powder coat production line and will be required to operate a variety of hand tools. Responsibilities will include loading and unloading an overhead conveyor, regular and consistent quality inspections, and preparing products for shipment. The Paint Line Operator will be responsible for efficient operation according to established procedures, following all safety protocols and workplace policies.
Responsibilities:
- Load and unload aluminum railings and components for powder coating
- Inserting PVC profile glazing in aluminum railings
- Proper and safe handling of parts
- Perform quality checks on products and parts
- Inspect, package and label outgoing shipments
- Help with loading and unloading shipments
- Maintain clean work areas and equipment
- Other duties as assigned
The Paint Line Operator must be comfortable working in a very hot work environment.
Experience:
- Highschool diploma, or 1 year manufacturing experience
- Experience with hand tools
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to read and understand fabrication drawings
- Ability to use and read a tape measure
- Physically able to work in hot, cold, and fast paced environment
- Must be organized, proactive, and maintain a positive attitude in the workplace
- Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
- Positive attendance is required
- Experience in a manufacturing environment, an asset but not required
- Able to work as a functioning member of a team
- Strong work ethic
- Ability to work independently in a busy environment
- Experience with routine maintenance operations
- Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment
- Forklift experience, an asset but not required
