Our client in Tilbury is seeking a skilled Mechanical Assembler to join their team on a temp-to-perm basis. This role involves assembling machinery according to blueprints and specifications, using hand and power tools. The ideal candidate has prior experience in machine building or related assembly work and is comfortable working in a hands-on, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
- Assemble machinery components using appropriate tools and methods
- Inspect finished assemblies to ensure quality and accuracy
- Safely lift and move parts and equipment up to 40–50 lbs
- Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2–3 years of mechanical assembly or machine building experience
- Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints/specifications
- Proficiency with hand and power tools
- Reliable and punctual with strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs
