Maintenance Mechanic/Millwright

We are currently seeking a Maintenance Mechanic/Millwright for our client in Scarborough, ON. This is a full-time position that operates on a day and afternoon shift rotation. This is a direct hire with the company.  

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 

• Performs routine preventative maintenance as scheduled. 
• Welds machine parts as required to facilitate repairs on equipment. 
• Assists in rigging requirements on new equipment and relocation projects.  
• Prepares purchase orders for replacement parts.  
• Repairs packaging, tabulating, and blending equipment as required.  
• Documents preventative maintenance, repair work and spare parts to facilitate SOP requirements. 
• Assists where necessary in other maintenance functions throughout the facility.  
• Maintains equipment in maintenance shop.  
• Complies with Good Manufacturing Practices in all GMP sensitive areas of the organization.  
• Practices safe health and safety practices when performing job responsibilities.  
• Works in compliance with the company’s Health & Safety Policies/SOP’s including but not limited to the Safety Responsibilities Procedure.  
• Other duties not included here may be required. 

The successful candidate will have the following experience: 

• Ontario Secondary School Diploma required 
• 433A ticket or 3rd year apprentice experience required  
• Working knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics and electric’s is an asset 
• Ability to read equipment drawings and equipment manuals 
• Self-starter, able to work with minimum supervision 
• Strong verbal and written English skills
• Good communication skills with all levels of employees 

Pay: $31 – $34/hour or DOE 

Type: Direct Hire 

Shift: Day and Afternoon rotation
