We are currently recruiting a Lead Mechanic for our client in Windsor, ON. This is a full-time direct hire with the company.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Lead and supervise a team of mechanics, providing guidance, training, and support.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment to enhance team productivity and morale.
  • Coordinate daily work assignments, ensuring optimal workflow and efficiency.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot complex automotive issues, utilizing advanced diagnostic equipment and tools.
  • Perform skilled mechanical repairs and maintenance on a variety of vehicles, including but not limited to engines, transmissions, and electrical systems.
  • Implement and enforce quality control standards to ensure that all repairs and maintenance meet or exceed industry and company standards.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of completed work to verify its quality and compliance with safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as parts procurement and customer service, to ensure seamless operations and customer satisfaction.
  • Communicate effectively with team members, providing clear instructions and feedback.
  • Ensure that all work is performed in compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
  • Stay informed about safety protocols and implement necessary measures to create a safe working environment.
  • Oversee the inventory of tools, equipment, and parts, ensuring adequate supplies are maintained.
  • Collaborate with the procurement team to source and order necessary parts and materials.

 

The successful candidate will have the following experience:

  • Proven experience as a Lead Mechanic or in a similar supervisory role.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Certification in Automotive Technology or a related field would be considered an asset.
  • Several years of hands-on experience in automotive repair and maintenance.
  • In-depth knowledge of automotive systems, diagnostics, and repair techniques.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

 

Pay: $35 – $40/hour

Type: Direct Hire

Shift: Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm
