We are currently recruiting a Lead Mechanic for our client in Windsor, ON. This is a full-time direct hire with the company.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Lead and supervise a team of mechanics, providing guidance, training, and support.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment to enhance team productivity and morale.
- Coordinate daily work assignments, ensuring optimal workflow and efficiency.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot complex automotive issues, utilizing advanced diagnostic equipment and tools.
- Perform skilled mechanical repairs and maintenance on a variety of vehicles, including but not limited to engines, transmissions, and electrical systems.
- Implement and enforce quality control standards to ensure that all repairs and maintenance meet or exceed industry and company standards.
- Conduct thorough inspections of completed work to verify its quality and compliance with safety regulations.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as parts procurement and customer service, to ensure seamless operations and customer satisfaction.
- Communicate effectively with team members, providing clear instructions and feedback.
- Ensure that all work is performed in compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
- Stay informed about safety protocols and implement necessary measures to create a safe working environment.
- Oversee the inventory of tools, equipment, and parts, ensuring adequate supplies are maintained.
- Collaborate with the procurement team to source and order necessary parts and materials.
The successful candidate will have the following experience:
- Proven experience as a Lead Mechanic or in a similar supervisory role.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Certification in Automotive Technology or a related field would be considered an asset.
- Several years of hands-on experience in automotive repair and maintenance.
- In-depth knowledge of automotive systems, diagnostics, and repair techniques.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Pay: $35 – $40/hour
Type: Direct Hire
Shift: Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm
