Interior Designer

We are currently recruiting an Interior Designer for our client in Windsor, ON. This is a full-time direct hire with the company.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Manage interior design for a wide variety of projects.
• Visualize and outline client objectives.
• Conceptualize and design plans for clients.
• Source and specify materials and products in design plans.
• Create storyboards/mood boards to showcase design proposals.
• Self-motivated, sincere, and conscientious.
• Detail-oriented with strong communication skills.
• Able to work in a team environment and be a positive role model.
• Utilize Sales and Marketing Strategies, including digital media.
• Set timelines for the start and completion of interior design projects.
• Proficient in Revit and AutoCAD software (latest edition).
• Proficient in MS Office productivity software.
• Intermediate to senior level familiarity with the Ontario Building Code.
• Knowledge of building science and interior detailing is an asset.
• Strong motivation for continual learning.
• Apply computer applications in the interior design process.

The successful candidate will have the following experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in interior design or equivalent related field/experience.
• 5+ years interior design experience.
• Registered Interior Designer or CIDQ Certification.
• Knowledge and experience using Revit and AutoCAD.
• Portfolio of design work.
• Highly creative, imaginative, and artistic.
• Require knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
• Demonstrated effective communication skills, including verbal, written and artistic vision.
• Empathetic and positive disposition.
• Strong knowledge of Ontario Building code.
• Ability to create and administer full construction drawing packages and specifications for a variety of projects.
• Interest and skills in Business Development.
• Strong focus on quality and the ability to check your own work and work of others for accuracy and completeness and manage time to meet project budget and schedule.
