We are looking for an Architectural Technologist who is detail-oriented, methodical, and proactive to support our rainscreen cladding system projects from design development through construction. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated professional who enjoys technical design work, coordination, and contributing to the built environment.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare, modify, and review detailed architectural drawings including plans, sections, elevations, and construction details, with a focus on cladding systems.
  • Interpret architectural and engineering drawings to ensure the correct integration of cladding components into building envelopes.
  • Utilize AutoCAD and Revit for the preparation of accurate technical documentation (experience with these programs is considered an asset).
  • Create 3D visualizations for client presentations and design coordination (asset).
  • Assist with material quantity take-offs and project estimating (asset).
  • Collaborate closely with project managers, estimators, and fabricators to resolve technical issues and ensure constructability.
  • Maintain a high level of accuracy, clarity, and technical quality in all drawings and specifications.
  • Apply a thorough, analytical, and methodical approach to all design and documentation tasks.
  • Be proactive in identifying potential design conflicts and recommending practical solutions.

Qualifications:
  • Diploma in Architectural Technology or equivalent qualification.
  • 1-3 years of relevant industry experience (experience in cladding systems or building envelope design considered an asset).
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit (asset).
  • Knowledge of 3D modeling and rendering software (asset).
  • Experience with estimating or take-offs (asset).
  • Solid understanding of construction detailing, materials, and building science related to exterior wall systems.
  • Strong ability to interpret and coordinate architectural and structural drawings.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Self-motivated with a proactive, solution-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team setting.
