Temporary/Contract Division

Working as a temporary employee can allow you the flexibility to choose your employment and gives you the opportunity to explore full-time employment. Assignments can range from a few days to a few weeks to a few months.

Temporary-to-Direct Hire (Evaluation Hire)

This allows you to “try out” a job and a potential employer for a period of time (approximately 90 days). This gives you an opportunity to determine whether the environment meets your requirements. There is no obligation for you or our customer to enter into a full-time position.

Professional Placement/Direct Hire Division

We take a more personal approach than most professional recruiters. We take the time to meet with each candidate and understand his or her experience and goals.  After learning more about you, we will work together and tailor a plan specifically to meet your needs. Every recruiter upholds our company’s standards of integrity but only a senior recruiter experienced in professional placements will work with you in your specialized job search.

We understand that one of the biggest changes in the job market today has been the use of staffing agencies. We also understand these changes have been substantial and there may be a lot of questions you have. We would like to answer some of those questions.

There are no fees to applicants nor do we deduct monies from your pay cheque. Our services are completely free to you, the job seeker. Companies who partner with us pay for the service.

The length of an assignment can vary, depending on our customer’s needs. Some are short-term, some are long-term. We work to match the right person with the right job but the assignments are subject to our customer’s needs.

PROSTAFF Employment Solutions pays you weekly if you are a contract (Temporary) employee. We pay based on the number of hours worked and the pay rate for the position. Direct Hires or Permanent Placements are paid in accordance to the company’s policies.

Temping is not bad for you. Temping is a great way to gain experience and it gives you a chance to test out a variety of different companies before deciding, which is a good fit for you! It helps develop valuable skills such as flexibility, responsiveness and adaptability.

Temporary assignments are not just for clerical and light industrial positions. We fill for all types of positions, from highly skilled to general jobs. In addition, Professional, Management, and Supervisory positions make up a significant portion of our contingent workforce.

Temporary doesn’t always mean temporary. ‘Temp to Perm’ or ‘Temp to Hire’ is where a person enters a company through a staffing service, works about 12 weeks and then becomes a regular full-time employee. Temporary work can often provide a bridge to permanent employment.

Yes, in addition to temporary employment opportunities, PROSTAFF Employment Solutions also offers Permanent Placements or Direct Hire Positions. Only our senior recruiters handle these placements. These services are provided for the purpose of establishing regular, full-time employment for job seekers and are generally for Professional, Executive, Management and Supervisory candidates.
